As part of the orientation efforts to help new students adapt to university life, an orientation program for first-year students will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023, at 14:30 in the Sabri Bektöre meeting hall.

The program will cover the following topics:

1. Introduction to the Faculty, Department, and general operations
2. Information on Afyon Kocatepe University’s Education-Training and Examination Regulations, Higher Education Institutions Student Disciplinary Regulations, and other relevant directives and regulations
3. Details on the principles and guidelines for the implementation of these regulations
4. Information on advisory services
5. Overview of the course passing and success system
6. Introduction to Student Exchange Programs (Erasmus, Farabi, Mevlana, etc.)
7. Information on Double Major/Minor/Transfer Programs
8. Information on exemption exams
9. Overview of the Student Information System and Mobile Application
10. Guidance on obtaining textbooks for core courses for new students
11. Instructions on how to access the internet in campus areas and educational buildings
12. Information on the Distance Education Learning Management System and the conduct and examinations of distance education courses
13. Introduction to student clubs and communities
14. Information on TEKNOFEST activities (including workshop introductions for interested students)
15. Information on counseling services (Advisor, Psychologist, Dietitian, etc.)
16. Introduction to the Entrepreneurship and Career Development Application and Research Center and other relevant Application and Research Centers
17. Introduction to social living areas (dining hall, canteen, café, sports areas, etc.)
18. Introduction to the Library and Congress Center, as well as the conference halls within these units
19. Introduction to the University and the City
