As part of the special issue on “Regional Sustainable Development” published to mark the 50th anniversary of our faculty, a promotional meeting and panel event were held for our faculty journal KOCATEPEİİBFD. The event took place on April 9, 2025, at the Sabri Bektöre Conference Hall in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, Zafer Development Agency, and our Faculty. The program was attended by the university administration, representatives of public institutions, non-governmental organizations, academics, and students.
The opening speeches were delivered by the Editor-in-Chief of our faculty journal, Prof. Dr. Fatih Ecer, Zafer Development Agency Afyonkarahisar Provincial Coordinator Osman Köprücüoğlu, and our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Şuayıp Özdemir. In their speeches, they emphasized the academic quality of our journal, its vision for sustainable development, its potential for regional contribution, and the pioneering role of our university in this field.
During the panel session, Prof. Dr. İsa Sağbaş from our Department of Public Finance served as the moderator. Presentations on development plans for the TR33 region and sustainable strategic management in the public sector were delivered by Bekir Umut, Acting Head of the Planning and Regional Coordination Unit at Zafer Development Agency, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Volkan Göçoğlu, a faculty member from our department.
The panel concluded with a Q&A session and a plaque presentation. This meaningful event organized on behalf of our faculty journal provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and fostering collaboration on regional sustainable development.
