Our department’s research assistant, Atahan Demirkol, participated as an invited speaker at the closing panel of the 48th World Urbanism Day Colloquium, held on November 9, 2024, in Antalya. The event, hosted by the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB) Chamber of City Planners, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, and Akdeniz University, centered on the theme “Urbanism of Destruction and Life.” In the closing panel titled “Urbanism in the Age of Crises,” Atahan Demirkol discussed issues surrounding migration and spatial crises.
