Our Department organized an online conference titled “The International Law Dimension of Humanitarian Aid to Gaza.”
The event, held at Sabri Bektöre Conference Hall, was attended by Prof. Dr. Gökhan Demirtaş, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences; Prof. Dr. Mustafa Fişne, Dean of Bolvadin Faculty of Applied Sciences and Head of our Department; as well as faculty members and students.
At the conference, Dr. Şahin Eray Kırdım, Faculty Member at the Faculty of Political Science, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, delivered a presentation. Dr. Kırdım emphasized that humanitarian aid should be provided freely under international law, and stated that Israel’s blockade of Gaza violates the rules of international humanitarian law.
In their remarks, Prof. Dr. Gökhan Demirtaş and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Fişne also drew attention to the humanitarian tragedy unfolding in Gaza, noting that students are witnessing a historic period.
